2012 QCU Scholarship Program

2012 QCU Scholarship Applications* are now available at the Quincy Office and Weymouth Branch, and on-line at www.qcu.org. Student Members in the 2012 high school graduating class and/or enrolled undergraduates planning to attend or currently attending U.S. College or University are encouraged to apply.

Applications are also available for the Massachusetts Credit Union League Scholarship for eligible graduating High School Members planning to attend a U.S. College or University.

Please read scholarship requirements carefully. Completed applications must be received at QCU Credit Union no later than Tuesday, March 1, 2012. Applications may be mailed to: Quincy Credit Union. Attn: Scholarship Committee, 100 Quincy Avenue, Quincy, MA 02169.

*Applicants must be QCU Members.

Cellphones for Soldiers-Collection Update

Through the generosity of local citizens, Quincy Credit Union recently collected 3,015 used cell phones in support of the Cell Phones for Soldiers program. During a 3 month promotion, in conjunction with QCU’s mobile banking product launch, all phones collected were recycled and the funds were used to purchase 180,900 minutes of calling time so troops serving overseas can call home to their loved ones. In addition, QCU donated $1,000 towards the purchase of calling cards to show their appreciation for those serving in the military.

Q-Net Mobile Banking and SMS Text Banking

Now you can access your QCU accounts via your mobile phone. QCU offers two mobile banking options.

With SMS/Text Banking you can request account balances, transaction information and specific account transfers via text commands. To use SMS/Text Banking service, you must currently be enrolled in Q-Net Home Banking.

If you have a mobile device with web browsing capabilities like a smart phone and you subscribe to a data plan with your communications provider, you can access QCU accounts on demand via your phone through Q-Net Mobile Banking. There is no registration or fees required to access Q-Net Mobile Banking. To learn more, or view the Q-Net Mobile Banking demo, visit our home page.
