Fallon EMS Week

Happy EMS Week to our friends at Fallon Ambulance! To kick off National EMS Week and celebrate its business partnership, QCU staff visited Fallon Ambulance to celebrate EMS practitioners, and the important work they do. Special EMS paracord bracelets were given to Fallon's employees, along with prizes from our spinning wheel game. Keeping with our annual tradition, QCU sponsored an ice cream truck for the employees at both the Quincy and North Quincy locations.

Weymouth's Special Olympics

Hundreds of supporters and volunteers including Quincy Credit Union employees were on hand at the Weymouth High School field to cheer on and support their favorite Special Olympians during the 8th Annual Special Olympics. The athletes displayed courage, skill and Olympic spirit as they participated in the many activities. Scottie, QCU's mascot, joined the grand parade and the Weymouth Color Guard to kick off the event as part of the procession of athletes. QCU employees were inspired by the resilience of the Olympians as they played corn hole at QCU's sponsored station.

YMCA's Healthy Kids Day

Together QCU employees and QCU Mascot, Scottie Saver along with members of the YMCA community, took a stand against bullying this past weekend as part of the South Shore YMCA's 24th Annual Healthy Kids Day.

The message, "Be a Hero" encouraged family members to stand with QCU and take a pledge against bullying. QCU also gave away Special "Be A Hero" drawstring bags stuffed with coloring sheets and anti-bullying theme kits so reinforce the anti-bullying message.

The event was a great opportunity to help start family conversations on topics like bullying and bring other family-related issues, safety, health and nutrition to light.
