Making a Meaningful Difference, Together

At Quincy Credit Union, our mission goes beyond banking—we’re here to uplift and support the communities we serve through direct action, education, and compassion. We’re proud to work alongside local partners, volunteers, and students to create a stronger, more connected community.

Meet our 2025 Scholarship Winners

This year marks the 20th anniversary of QCU’s annual scholarship program. Over the past two decades, we’ve proudly awarded scholarships to students who go beyond academics—demonstrating leadership, compassion, and a commitment to giving back to their communities.

Lily Carver, Marshfield

Organized a feminine hygiene product drive at Braintree High School. As a result, over 4,000 items were collected and distributed to local homeless shelters.

Madison Roberson, Quincy

Volunteered over 200 hours delivering food to those in need during the pandemic and mentors fellow students through Georgia State’s Student Alumni Association.

Anthony Dragone, Weymouth

Helped organize and serve meals, distribute clothing, and create a welcoming space for unhoused individuals in Boston shelters through a youth group initiative.

Peyton Perkins, Quincy

Advocated for domestic abuse awareness through her school’s Girl Rising Club, helping organize fundraising events and outreach efforts to support women globally.

Ava DeWitt, Weymouth

Led pajama and clothing drives for Cradles to Crayons, collecting over 100 pajamas and multiple carloads of clothing with help from her high school soccer teams.

Community Outreach in Action

From hands-on volunteering to donation drives and educational programs, QCU’s outreach efforts aim to support and uplift people of all ages across our community. In addition, these programs reflect our long-standing mission to build financial confidence and community connection.

Each year, we organize food and toy drives with the generous support of our members. As a result, we’ve collected and delivered thousands of food items to local organizations like Weymouth Food Pantry, Marshfield Food Pantry, and Interfaith Social Services. During the holiday season, we also donated over 300 toys to Toys for Tots.

Cybersecurity seminar at Weymouth Elder Services

With the help of Dan Marini, QCU’s Director of Information Security, to support digital safety in our community, we host in-person seminars at local senior centers focused on protecting personal information, identifying scams, and staying safe online.

Ultimately, these interactive sessions provide seniors with practical tools and peace of mind—empowering them to navigate the digital world with greater confidence.

At QCU, we believe that financial education should start early and evolve with life’s milestones. For that reason, we bring financial literacy programs directly into classrooms, libraries, and community spaces, empowering people of all ages to make smart, confident financial decisions.

THANK YOU TO OUR MEMBERS AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS
Whether you’re donating food, attending a seminar, or cheering on a scholarship winner, you’re making a lasting difference. Together, we’re building something better.
